We need a diverse membership to spread our message and continually improve transportation technologies. We need new ideas and input across all private industries and public departments. As an ITS Heartland member you’ll be a part of a like-minded community committed to making a difference and advocating on key transportation issues. Membership Levels
Public Sector |

State Departments of Transportation Personnel, Free
Each DOT and DOR in the Heartland Region (Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Oklahoma) can designate an unlimited number of individuals as representatives under its organizational membership. Dues are free to employees from these DOTs. To become a member or renew your membership please contact your State Director. State Directors submit a list of all members for each DOT or DOR. |
Individual (Public), $60 annually Open to city, county, state, federal, and public university employees. Each Individual Member shall have one vote in all matters to be voted on by the members. ITS Heartland extends free Memberships to all Federal Highway Administration Personnel. |
Organizational, $150 annually Open to public sector organizations – i.e., governmental agencies, universities, etc. Each organization shall designate up to three “Organizational Representatives” to represent the organization and vote in all matters to be voted on by the members. Each organization shall have no more than three voting members. |
Private Sector |

Business, $350 annually Open to private sector business. Each business shall designate up to five “Business Representatives” to represent the business and vote in all matters to be voted on by the members. Each Business shall have no more than five voting members. |
Individual (Private Sector), $75 annually Open to persons employed within the private sector. Each Individual Member shall have one vote in all matters to be voted on by the members. |
Student, Free Open to individuals registered as full-time students in undergraduate or graduate school at a recognized university. Students do not have voting rights. |
